Medication Safety, Human Rights and the Pharmaceutical Industry
In co-production with Dr. Jennifer Sellin (Lecturer Dept. of International & European Law Faculty of Law, Maastricht University), an article is in preparation.
In this upcoming article a logical link will be made between the human right to Health, and therefor an access to medicines and hence ALSO to be able to use the medicines safely.
The national Dutch Health Inspectorate (www.igz.nl) will put a strong focus on Medication Safety for the upcoming 4 year period.
Again it is proved that even in high tech and profesionally sophisticated pharmaceutical settings, as available in The Netherlands, improvements are necessary in order to protect patients better.
